^ Yup, it's one of the few things you can't emulate at the moment. There are a few Alphaserver emulators, but they don't do ARC so you're limited to VMS and Tru64, Linux and maybe Meditech Magic?. For the Windows side of things, or anything requiring ARC, you've gotta find a real machine.
The Alpha emulators aren't cheap either. I've never tried the free one, but the commercial server emulators are well into the 3 digit price starting range. Complete with items like physical license dongles.

I just managed to install this on my AlphaStation 255 as well. While the network works just fine, I am absolutely unable to access any SMB shares. Were you able to do this?
